Luca Alloatti received an M. Sc. Degree in Physics from the University of Pisa (Italy) in 2004 and the “Diploma di Licenza” from the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa in 2006. In 2012 he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, with a thesis entitled “High-Speed, Low-Power and Mid-IR Silicon Photonics Applications.” His current research focuses on “Zero-Change” CMOS photonics.
